1. You Are Not Your Character

You must act as your character at all times, not yourself. Out-of-character talk that clearly breaks immersion is not allowed. This includes referencing real life, staff, systems, or mechanics in a way that disrupts roleplay.

2. No Racism, Hate Speech, or Bigotry

This is a roleplay community, not a space for real-world politics or prejudice. Any form of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, religious intolerance, or similar hate will not be tolerated - in or out of character. Roleplay cannot be used to excuse hate. You can play a villain without importing real-world bigotry. Violators will be removed from the community.

3. No Harassment

Harassment outside of the game - whether through Discord, DMs, social media, or other platforms - is not tolerated. This includes targeted insults, sexual harassment, threats, stalking, or any behavior that causes real-world discomfort, intimidation, or harm. Unwanted attention that continues after boundaries are clearly set is also considered harassment.
We are not here to mediate personal fallouts, friend group drama, or private disagreements. However, we do reserve the right to remove anyone from the community if their behavior off-server poses a threat to player safety, creates a hostile environment, or undermines the integrity of the community.

4. No Toxicity

Simply put: don’t be a dick. Treat others with respect and help maintain a healthy roleplay environment.

Toxic behavior includes excessive arguing, insulting, baiting reactions, or trying to ruin someone else’s experience. Just because something happens in character does not give you a reason to act out of character.

Keep it respectful, keep it mature, and remember there is a real person behind every character.

You’re free to share concerns or disagreements - but abuse, harassment, or targeted negativity toward the community, server, or staff will not be tolerated.

5. Valuing Life (NVL)

Value your life and the lives of those your character would value. This includes when a gun is placed at your back or when you are unarmed. You must surrender unless you are planning to RP out the full consequences of your actions for story reasons (e.g., planning to permadeath or other very serious permanent consequences or permanent negative character drawbacks).

Gameplay & Immersion Rules

6. No Metagaming, Powergaming, or Fail RP

Metagaming, powergaming, and fail RP are strictly prohibited. This includes being in the city while watching or lurking another player’s stream, even if they are in the same group or gang. If your character would not know it, you cannot use it.

7. No Exploiting

Knowingly abusing bugs, broken mechanics, or unintended content to gain an advantage is prohibited. If something is clearly not intended, do not use it.

8. No-Go Roleplay Topics

The following roleplay topics are NOT allowed:

• Racism or hateful roleplay

• Erotic roleplay

• Pregnancy or miscarriage roleplay

• Sexual abuse in any form

• Slavery

• Mental health crisis*

• Terminal illness*

*Topics marked with an asterisk require explicit admin approval for story purposes.

9. Naming Guidelines

All character names must follow realistic and streamer-safe naming standards. No troll or immersion-breaking names.

10. Conflict & Targeted RP

Conflict-driven roleplay is allowed, but it must remain respectful and make sense. Do not target players just to ruin their experience. Keep it story-driven and grounded.

11. Adult Server

Misfits Roleplay is an 18+ community. You must be over the age of 18 to join and play.

12. Ticket Overusage

Tickets should only be used for game-breaking bugs, player reports, or staff issues. If it can be handled in character, handle it in character.

13. Self-Promotion & Advertising

Self-promotion is limited to the designated streaming channel. Advertising other communities or social media is not allowed without prior admin approval.

Scene Integrity Rules

14. No Breaking Character

You must remain in character at all times during active scenes. If you believe a rule has been broken, finish the scene and report it afterward.

Exceptions include hate speech, sexual content, or extreme harassment, which should be reported immediately.

15. Copyrighted Music

Do not play copyrighted music in public areas. This protects content creators and streamers.

16. Gunplay Over Roleplay

Roleplay must always come before gunplay. Firearms require proper in-character buildup and reasoning. Random or unnecessary violence is not allowed.

17. No Cop Baiting

Intentionally provoking or harassing police without meaningful roleplay is prohibited. Crime should have purpose.

18. New Life Rule (NLR)

If your character is downed or executed in a major scene, you may not remember identifying details of your attackers.

You may remember general details such as clothing or number of individuals, but not names, faces, or identities unless clues were intentionally left.

19. Corruption Roleplay

Corruption roleplay is not allowed unless explicitly approved by the Founders.

Communication Rules

20. Use of Third-Party Voice Platforms

You may not use Discord calls, party chats, or any external communication with players who are also in the city. All communication must happen in-game.

Crime & Activity Rules

21. Crime Numbers

Crime limits include all participants.

Cop Rule: Number of criminals + 1 officer

Air 1 does not count toward officer numbers

23. Fake Hostages

Fake hostages are not allowed. You may not use friends or associates and pretend they are hostages.

24. Vehicle Limits

No more than two vehicles may be present at a crime scene.

Pickup and swap vehicles do not count toward the vehicle limit, but all players still count toward the total criminal limit.

25. Low-Quality RP Robberies

Robbing players must involve high-quality roleplay. You must have a valid reason and provide some form of counterplay.

Taking most or all items without proper roleplay may be considered griefing.

26. No RDM or VDM

All conflict must be backed by proper roleplay.

Random Deathmatch and Vehicle Deathmatch are not allowed.

Gangs are not meant to exist solely for constant violence. Focus on creativity, identity, and meaningful roleplay.
